Rolin Terms of Use
Welcome to Rolin. Rolin is operated by Wooof LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us"), and includes the Rolin Mac app, the Rolin Cam iOS app, the website rolin.app, and related online services (the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Services on behalf of a company or team, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.
1. Accounts
- The Services are only for users 18 years of age or older.
- Sign-up may currently require an invitation code. Provide accurate information and keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for activity under your account, including actions taken by agents you authorize.
- An account is for one person. Do not sell, transfer, or share your sign-in. Tell us right away if your account is compromised.
2. Your content
- What you upload (scripts, images, video, audio, 3D scenes, prompts, and so on) remains yours or your licensors'. You represent that you have the rights needed to use it, and that you have the consent of, or another lawful basis for, any identifiable real person who appears in it, including their face, body, voice, or name.
- Outputs: as between you and us, the outputs you generate with the Services belong to you, and you may use them for any lawful purpose, including commercially. AI outputs may be similar or identical to outputs other users receive; we do not guarantee that outputs are unique or that they qualify for copyright protection.
- License to us: to provide the Services (storing, syncing, transcoding, previewing, sending to the model provider you choose, and showing to your collaborators), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to process your content only as needed to provide the Services. This license ends when you delete the content or your account (backups expire as described in the Privacy Policy).
- No training: we do not use your content to train our own models, and we do not use content from your private projects in our marketing without your consent.
- Collaborative projects: a project is owned and managed by the account that created it (the project owner). Content you contribute to someone else's project is licensed to the project owner and members for use in that project and the works made from it. The project owner may remove members and delete the project.
- Feedback: we may use suggestions you give us freely and without payment to you.
3. Prohibited uses
You may not use the Services to generate, upload, or share, or otherwise to do, any of the following:
- Sexual content involving minors: any content that sexualizes minors, including fictional, animated, or AI-generated minors. We terminate such accounts immediately and report them to law enforcement as required by law.
- Non-consensual content of real people: intimate, nude, or sexual content depicting an identifiable real person without their consent, or content that makes a real person appear to say or do something they did not, in a way likely to mislead viewers (deepfakes).
- Unauthorized voice cloning: cloning any voice other than your own without authorization.
- Pornography: sexually explicit or pornographic content.
- Infringement: content that infringes copyright, trademark, rights of publicity, privacy, or other rights.
- Deception and impersonation: impersonating any person or organization; presenting AI-generated content as real footage or a real record of events in order to mislead the public, including misinformation about elections, public health, or disasters; fraud.
- Violence and harm: promoting or glorifying real-world terrorism or violent extremism; inciting violence or hatred against people or groups; encouraging self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders; giving actionable instructions for making weapons, explosives, or other dangerous items. Fictional depictions of violence, crime, and similar themes in creative works are allowed, but not for these purposes.
- Harassment and discrimination: harassing, threatening, or defaming individuals, or hateful content based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics.
- Illegal activity: violating applicable laws, export controls, or sanctions.
- Abuse of the Services: bypassing or probing content safety filters (including "jailbreak" prompts); scraping or bulk-downloading the Services or the official libraries; reverse engineering; reselling the Services or offering them to third parties as an API without permission; interfering with the Services or placing an unreasonable load on them; using multiple accounts to evade limits or bans.
The model providers we connect to have their own usage policies, which you must also follow. If a provider refuses a request, the charge is returned as described in Section 5.
4. About AI-generated content
- AI outputs may be inaccurate, biased, contain unexpected material, or resemble third-party works. We do not clear rights in outputs; you are responsible for deciding whether an output is suitable to publish and whether you need permission from anyone.
- Where the law requires (for example AI-content labeling rules in the EU or China), you must disclose that content is AI-generated, and you must not remove or alter provenance marks or metadata added by the Services.
- We may change, upgrade, or retire the models we offer at any time, and the same prompt may produce different results over time.
5. Balance, memberships, and refunds
- Prices: generation costs are estimated before you submit and are deducted from your account balance based on actual usage. Membership prices are shown on the purchase page. We may change prices with notice on our website or in the apps; completed charges are not affected.
- Balance: your balance is a prepayment for the Services, in US dollars. It has no cash value, cannot be transferred, earns no interest, and does not expire while your account is active.
- Failed generations: if a generation fails, is refused by a provider, or produces no result because of us, the charge is automatically returned to your balance.
- Top-ups: top-ups are generally non-refundable, except where required by law.
- Memberships: memberships renew automatically each month. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current period; the current period is not refunded pro rata. If a renewal payment fails, a grace period applies, after which the account moves to the free plan; projects over the storage limit may become read-only. See the membership page for details.
- Deleting your account: you must forfeit any remaining balance before deleting your account yourself.
- Balance on termination: if we end the Services without cause, we refund your remaining balance. If we terminate your account for serious or repeated violations of these Terms, the remaining balance and the current membership fee are not refunded.
- Payments are processed by Stripe.
6. Official assets
We provide official assets such as the actor library, wardrobe library, art styles, and technique cards. You may use them within the Services and use results made from them in your works, including commercial works, but you may not extract, redistribute, or sell the official assets themselves, individually or in bulk, or use them to train models. People in the actor library are AI-generated fictional people who do not correspond to any real individual; do not present them as real people.
7. Agents and third-party tools
You may connect third-party agents such as Codex or Claude to your account through MCP or similar means. Actions an agent takes with your authorization, including paid generations within the budget you set, are treated as your actions and are your responsibility. Third-party tools are governed by their own terms.
8. Enforcement
- We may, but are not obligated to, review content for violations of these Terms. We may remove content, refuse generation requests, limit features, or suspend or terminate accounts without prior notice; serious violations, such as items 1 and 2 of Section 3, result in immediate termination.
- Terminated users may not create a new account. We may share relevant information with law enforcement as required by law.
- To report a violation, email support@rolin.app. If you report non-consensual intimate imagery of yourself, we will act promptly once we receive a valid notice.
- You may stop using the Services or delete your account at any time.
9. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, email support@rolin.app with: your physical or electronic signature; the copyrighted work; the infringing material and where it is located; your contact information; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner. We will remove or disable the material and notify the uploader, and we terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
10. Availability of the Services
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep the Services reliable and your data safe, but we do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that outputs will meet your particular needs. We may add, change, or remove features. Please keep your own copies of important content.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the liability, or US$100. Where the law does not allow these limits, they apply only to the extent permitted.
12. Indemnity
You are responsible for, and will hold us harmless from, third-party claims and the resulting losses and reasonable costs arising from your content, your use of the Services or outputs, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of anyone's rights.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will give notice of material changes before they take effect, on our website, in the apps, or by email; continuing to use the Services after an update takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services. If any provision is held invalid, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. These Terms are provided in Chinese and English; if they conflict, the English version controls.
