Screenplay
Write in professional formats. Revise for production.
Features, short dramas, commercials or stories still taking shape. Start with the right script format, so creativity and production speak the same language.
Different stories. The right format.
Work in WGA screenplay format, the AV format used in advertising, or freeform text.
Scene headings, action, characters and dialogue each have their place. AV pairs picture with sound; freeform leaves room for a story still finding its shape.
Creative frame
A character enters the frame and stops at the edge of the light.
The camera moves closer, catching a change in expression. Start with action and rhythm, then develop the dialogue and details.
Revise the script, not the scene numbers. Keep the team in sync.
WGA revision numbering keeps changes traceable, even after production begins.
For example, insert scene 12A between scenes 12 and 13 without renumbering existing scenes. Deleted scenes retain their numbers, so everyone keeps working from the same production references.

● LOCKEDOne script page. A guide for everything that follows.
Confirm the text and version, then develop the story into actionable shot designs.
Keep scenes and content connected across workbenches, so shot discussions stay grounded in the script. Freeform and AV scripts each follow their own locking rules.

Add an action after Scene 12. The writer revises and the director continues shot design while later scene numbers stay stable.
