Different productions use different parts of Rolin. Each case below lists the workflow and the guides to read.
Short dramas and series
Organize a series as one project with an episode per installment. Each episode has its own screenplay, shots and edit, while characters with their looks, props, locations and character voices stay shared as project assets. Write in WGA format so locked scene numbers stay stable through revisions, generate keyframes and Takes shot by shot, and rough-cut each episode.

Commercials
Write an AV script with columns for picture and sound, plan shots from it and review the storyboard with the client as a PDF or PPTX. Generate or import footage, rough-cut with sound and subtitles, then export an FCPXML or XML project for the finishing editor.

Previs for live-action shoots
Stage a scene in the 3D virtual studio: place the set and actors, plan camera positions, and animate blocking and camera moves on the timeline. Use an iPhone with Rolin Cam as an AR camera, save captures to shots, export clay-style previs, or export GLB to continue in Blender.

Independent films and pitches
Start from scattered references on the inspiration canvas, keep an early outline in Freeform or write in WGA, sketch the key shots as a storyboard, and build a short proof-of-concept cut to show what the film will feel like.

Working with an AI assistant
Connect an assistant such as Codex or Claude through MCP. Grant reading to have it review a screenplay or summarize shots, or task editing for approved changes. Paid generation needs a separate budget that you approve.
