Arrange objects, cameras and movement in 3D before using captures or previs for shot production.
Open or create a studio
Open Studio and choose an existing studio or create one. You can also enter from a shot’s media source selector to prepare a reference for that shot.
The entry point determines the destination. A general studio entry creates project-level material. Entering from a shot and confirming the binding can save captures or previs to that shot. Check the episode, shot and intended use first.
Arrange and frame
Import a model or scene through a supported source. Select objects to adjust position, rotation and scale. Add or select a camera, adjust its placement and parameters, and inspect composition from the camera view.
Different objects and import actions support different formats. A flat image is not automatically an editable 3D model.
Capture a reference
Capture after choosing your camera. An entry bound to a keyframe saves to keyframes; a technical-reference entry saves there instead. Unbound project captures are available in the technical-reference category of project assets.
A capture records the view. It does not generate an AI video or adopt a Take for the shot.
Animate previs
Set pose keys for objects or cameras on the animation timeline, adjust timing and play the scene. Use the camera controls available in your version to organize movement and shot segments.
Check starts and stops, intersections and camera switches before exporting. Clay-style previs communicates space, action and camera intent.
Export previs
Choose the previs export action to enter export mode, then set the range and destination. Export a selected range or individual shot segments.
| Destination | Use |
|---|---|
| Bind to shot | Save previs as that shot’s technical reference |
| Asset library | Keep reusable previs within the project |
| Local folder | Save externally for viewing or processing |
Each output saved to a shot or the asset library is limited to 30 seconds and 100 MB. Local export uses separate rules and does not automatically sync the result as a project asset.
GLB and the AR companion
For further work in Blender or another compatible tool, export GLB and choose the scope, animation and camera options. GLB is an interchange file and does not guarantee reproduction of every source effect.
Rolin Cam is the AR framing and streaming companion. It is not the full studio editor. Pairing, device requirements and recording steps depend on the released companion version.
